My brother's puppy, who is 3 months old, and is a Border Terrier HATES water.

When I say hates, I mean hates, with a passion. If he gets any water on him, he'll immediately rub himself off on our carpet, then proceed to growl at anyone who had anything to do with him getting wet. Once, i turned in the sprinklers, and he got wet. He then attempted to attack the sprinklers, and then ignored me for the rest of the day.

He has to take a bath eventually. What should I do with him?

I would suggest slowly working him into the water...try taking him for a walk in the rain...then, maybe have him walk in a puddle...really slowly though...eventually you could work your way to a kiddie pool...you get the drift...good luck! You may just have to take him to a professional and have him done there. They also make "dry" shampoo for dogs...where it doesn't have to be washed out, just deoderizes the coat, etc. But that is only a temporary solution. Hope this helps.
