Default dog grooming

I need to know if my poodle terrier can have pom poms. He is 9 months old. If so tell me what best hair cut would yall recommend? Heres my picture.

He doesn't have the right coat to do pompoms on. I don't think it would work. You could try it, but I don't think it's the best option for him.

I'd suggest a terrier clip; Schnauzer, Airedale or Kerry Blue. For a Kerry clip you'll have to let his facial furnishings grow a bit more so he can have a proper fall. Leave his tail long, but trimmed up just enough to make it neat.

Other options might be a Portuguese Water Dog lion clip or retriever clip. He might have coat enough to do either, although he'd need to grow out a bit to have a really good lion clip. Or you could give him an American Water Spaniel clip.

One word of caution; he's at the age where he's going to go through a coat change, from puppy coat to adult coat. If you don't stay on top of it, it's going to mat, really badly and really fast. Then your best option is to shave it off and start over. Don't worry about it. It's hair. It'll grow back.

well i suggest you to trim his hair because that's what I do with my shitzu
