OMGoodness!! I am so sorry for your loss! This makes me so sad and terrified to take my puppy to a groomer now.

OMG!!! I am so very sorry for your loss. That should never have happened. I'd be seriously thinking about contacting my attorney. Although nothing will bring your little baby back, the groomer must take responsibility for her negligence. I'd want an explanation as to how she managed to lose your dog!!! Unfortunately, the only way to censure these people is to cost them money. Bless you. Please know that our hearts are with you.

The grooming salon is at fault, no doubt about that. That's why personally I don't trust anyone with my dogs. When Brutus went in to be neutered I literally stood in a 5 mile radius of the vet office "just in case". As for my little dogs, I groom them at home. There is a grooming salon about 15 min away from me that had a case of a groomer walking away from the table & the dog hung himself a few years ago. Accident's do happen, but I am sorry for your lose.

Unhappy Sorry 4 ur lost!!!

I'm so sorry for ur lost!!!
If that happened to me, i'll go crazy, i'll kill ( i know i cant but i'll be so angry) the grommer.
I'm starting my grommer career in Costa Rica and i always before i even touch the dog i pray so nothing bad happened because that can break my heart if in my care something goes wrong.
I will sue the grommer not for the money, but at least he can have a hard time like the one u had!!!
Best wishes!!

Whiskers, your heart is in the right place, and I can assure you that most groomers feel the same way. We never want to injure a pet, lose a pet, or even stress a pet.

It's unfortunate that accidents happen. But, for the most part, they're accidents. Sometimes there's negligence involved, but not always. You can do everything right, everything you possibly can, and still, accidents happen. After all, we're working with living beings who have minds of their own, and who do not understand that they might be injured if they move.

Whenever I'm grooming a pet, or working with the vets to perform some medical procedure, I treat the pet exactly the same way as I'd treat my own. We take every possible precaution to ensure the safety and comfort of the pets in our care.

i wonder what the groomer did to your dog... you should complain him and have their grooming salon closed. and ya, contact animal rights societies and the alike...
