My daughter worked at Petco and she told me the name of the best groomer who happened to be the mgr of the grooming salon. I have taken my shihtzu there several times - never had a problem.

I like it because I can stand back in the store and watch while my dog is groomed and know that she is being treated right.

I am glad you had a good experience. My sister was in a Petco and actually saw a groomer smack a dog. She gave the manager hell.

the petcos in my area are horrible. All they know how to do is shave dogs, they can't style any breed. I have seen "groomed" dogs leave dirty and matted, seen a groomer DRAGGING an old dog across the floor, they are just horrible. Glad to hear the one near you is not so bad.
