Question Before and After, how does he look? Think we finally found the right groomer

We think we finally found the right groomer and I think this is the best haircut he has ever had.

He used really be good at going to the groomers he had this one lady he loved, but she left the grooming company and then he got a groomer who I did't appreciate the way he was handled and she cut him up in several spots and since then he hasn't been too good with grooming.

But today we went to a groomer that my past dogs went to since I moved back to the area and she did a wonderful job and she said he was just wonderfully behaved (after expecting the worst).

So I am very proud of my boy for being so good, he only growled once but she stopped and talked to him a bit and then he let her continue trimming him. (He doesn't like the clipppers)

Anyways he was seriously needing a haircut but there was a long wait to get in to see her.

Here he is before the haircut:

Here is is After:

Whats important is if YOU like it and that the dog had a good experience.
Is the cut what you asked for?

I like more hair on the legs myself, but if it what you wanted and their good with the dog.....then yep, you found a new groomer!

Yeah we wanted him real close. We asked that they keep his face in the Teddy bear look, as the groomer called it. And cut his body close. We spend a lot of time outside together and it makes it easier to look for ticks. Plus we are in the deep south and it gets so hot here, he is happiest when his fur is short.

As long as you like it are your dog is safe thats what matters.

He looks a little uneven but that could be if he was matted.

The before pic looks like my Cockapoo Gracie. What breed? I like more fur... but to each his own. Gracie often gets a close cut like that, only with her ears longer and fuller.... usually during the summer months. You're dog's a real cutie!

Personally, I prefer the more furry look but, the important thing is that your dog had a positive experience and you are happy with the results.

Default hi

If you need a good dog or cat groomer
try Caterham Clips Professional Dog and Cat Grooming services call: 01883 371026 my dog never growls when i take her here
for hair clipping i really recommend them,
they are based in Caterham Surrey and they offer
micro chipping and have really quiet equipment this
is why my dog is not so scared, anyway i thought i tell
you because my dog was scared of groomers until i went here.

Most members of this forum are in the US - even those of us who are in the UK are rather scattered - No matter how excellent the service I don't think I could justify a round trip of several hundred miles to get my dog groomed LOL!

I'm assuming you are a groomer? Can you give me any tips on finding a decent groomer? What I should look for?
