Default Sunburn

I just thought it was worth mentioning, considering the recent hot weather we seem to have had around the world, that many dogs can actually get sunburnt.

This is particularly prevelent in white dogs, or at least dogs with white ears (and also cats,) due to the lack of pigmentation in their skin.

Try smearing a bit of sunscreen on your dogs ears if you know he is going to be in sunlight for a decent period of time, as it is quite common for it to lead to cancer of the ear at a later date.
