Default Scottish Terrier Skin Issues?

We recently adopted a free dog, a Scottish terrier!

He however has a booboo on his chin. Previous owner said it was an allergy to grass...his chin is blistery and scabby. So I have tried my best to stop him from face diving and eating the grass and it has improved a bit but not completely. It does not seem to bother him....he never scratches at it or anything, but it just LOOKS bad so I imagine it may be slightly uncomfortable for him.
Any suggestions to this? Has anyone heard of this before?

I heard that there are some things I could try to put on it, any suggestions?

Also, it seems he has dry skin where you can see skin, around his eyes and nose like. Is there anything to do about a dog with dry skin? I know i always see it say that Scottish terriers are prone to skin problems, but it never says what KIND of skin problems. Anyone else know? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Poor baby, I would try using a hydrocortizone cream on his chin. I suggest using shea butter shampoo, Shea pet has awesome grooming products. I always use baby shampoo on my dogs faces. I have had good success with oils like carrot oil, they can be found in the ethnic section of stores, drugstores, Walmart, but beauty supply stores have a great selection. Good luck with your new babyDog grooming productsgoogleec233a40538beee6.html
