Default dog food related to hot spots

does anyone know if there is any relationship between the kind of dog food you feed and hotspots, i have recently changed my dogs food and all of a sudden they have developed red raw spots on their back and tails, they are constantly itching and they don't have fleas, i had been feeding them and indoor complete formula then switched to a all natural kind, when they developed the spots, i switched them back recently but was just wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of these or if it had any relationship to the food,

That sounds almost like an allergic reaction. Did you change anything else at the time, or just the food? If it was the food, the spots should start getting smaller if they don't scratch them. I know it's hard to keep dogs from scratching though.

If it does turn out to be an allergic reaction, you did the right thing by switching them back to the indoor formula.
