Default Flatening of Paws ??

PLease any help is appreciated!!!
Our soon to be 10 year old Lab Elkhound mix has terribly flatened paws. At the pads the paws are spread out and flat. Our Vet didn't seem concerned but we are. Kacey has always been a home body. Hates car rides and hates walks. She is skiddish of noises in the neighborhood so only goes out back on her own or out front with us. She never liked a leash so we let her roam with us in attendence. She loves people and cries whenever we come home from being out even for a short time.

Kacey seems to be walking slow and doesn't seem to want to go in the back yard, unless she walks where there is moss or dirt no stones. (Mostly small gravel landscaped) She runs like the blazes when we throw her ball( you'd neveer know her age by the way she runs but this is upsetting to us. Has anyone ever heard of this problem? Any info will be greatly appreciated. We are so afraid she is hurting but we here no wimpering or whining.

I've never heard of this problem before. Maybe it's just because of her age. If your vet doesn't seem concerned, maybe you shouldn't be either. Maybe someone else can help answer this question better than I can.

Does she shuffle her feet at all when she walks? I can understand why you're concerned. Even if she doesn't seem to exhibit any pain, I would worry, too.
