Unhappy Skin sores

I have seven lab puppies. I have been breeding for years and never had this problem. Four of the puppies have sores on the tail and rear leg or legs. They are deep pauss filled sores. they are indoors and clean. Mother is clean and in perfect health. I plan to take them to the vet on monday...just thought i may be able to get some more info. the sores on the tail are like knots that go all the way around the tail. I have separated the healthy ones and cleaned and applied antibiotic ointment.

There are a variety of causes for skin lesions and sores. It sounds like you have taken great first steps in separating the puppies. Obviously a thorough physical exam and various diagnostic tests can help determine the cause and direct treatment. Hopefully your vet can give you a quick treatment so those little pups can enjoy one another very soon!
