If it looked like a chewing tooth, then yes. Some fangs hang on even after the adult teeth have grown, and fall out later also.

i'm not really sure what a chewing tooth looks like this is the first dog i have ever owned and only had him a few days. the tooth is like a point.. its not a molar i know that. but it is small.. his mouth does not seem to be bothering him at all, so im not to worried!

Thanks you for replying!

If it is a pointy tooth, then it is a fang or even a bicuspid. Does he seem to have all his teeth? Like I said, his adult tooth could have grown first before the baby one fell out, if in doubt, take your dog to the vet. I did with my Jack russell terrier, and they had to remove 2 teeth, but it was worth it, as hers would not have dropped. They were stuck, and she was over 1 year old.

I checked out his mouth a few times everything looks ok, i belive it was one of his top teeth in the front. there is a new tooth growing in there, so it must have just been a baby tooth!

Default Dog teeth

We have learned that it is best to keep dog's teeth clean. This avoids problems later in life.
Just use a soft toothbrush and dog toothpaste.
Cheers

our dog has a very clean mouth, did when we got him, his breath does not even stink and his teeth are really white, just a few spots on them. i got him a tooth brush and some chicken flavored paste, he likes it i think he just trys and eats most of it but he lets me brush his pearlies so its ok!

He has two front teeth growing in, so i guess it was one of them that he lost.

THanks everyone for your help, i was really glad of it!

Ok So those two top front teet that i thought were growing it, have not changed and it has been a month since i saw them. they look ok though and don't seem to be bothering him at all, i just wonder if the teeth just never finished growing in, or do they just take a really long time? im pretty sure they are adult teeth growing in, they dont look like they have broken off or anything, does dogs teeth just grow really slow? is this normal?

Im really not worried cause they look ok and arnt bothering him, just curiouse

I bush my dogs teeth as often as i can not ever day but every few days, he's got really healthy teeth though, there is no biuld up of any crap on his teeth, he eats well and is normal.. He's 13 months old, i don't know how long ago those teeth started growing in, i noticed 2 months ago probably and they have not changed.. They look fine though and arnt bothering him at all, im not taking him to the vet just for his teeth cause they wil just tell me that they are fine, but we are getting him nuetard soon so when he goes for that i will ask the vet about them. Maybe he was just giving 2 dud teeth. But he can eat fine and do everything fine with no trouble and they dont bother him im really not worried at all was just curiouse at the rate most dogs teeth grow, All of his other teeth are perfect.
