There are so many brands of dog food in the market, I am not sure if i have the best ones for my puppies. I have 2 large breed dogs, a lab and chow mix and I feed them Nutro lamb and rice for large breed puppies. It is quite pricey, are there any less expensive food for dogs that give them proper nutrition too? :grin:

I don't buy the real pricy food, I go to our grain store, and buy the Blie Seal Natural 26, for our GSD, and their Lamb and Rice formula for our JRT. 25 lbs. is only 10 dollars, and with all the extras I buy, their coats are nice and the are not having problems.

We're on a rather tight budget now since we've got a toddler & a baby on the way, so we are feeding them Ol' Roy dry dog food. We tried to switch them to something that is more nutritious but they didn't handle the switch very well. We even did the whole mixing both kinds, gradually increasing the new while decreasing the old. It didn't work; apparently there was something in the new that didn't agree with their poor little tummies. My poor Bandit & Courage. So they are now back to their usual Ol' Roy & they are back to normal.
