Unhappy My dog cannot walk

Hello everyone!
I have a Pekinois and these last days he has lost his ability to walk, yesterday his rear feet reacted, but today he can't move itself! Does anyone have an idea of what's going on with it? I'm 100% that he hasn't broken his feet.
Thanks for your time and happy new year!

hi all! thanks for help & advices.
i took him to the vet today and the news aren't that great, it seems he dislocated his C8 i'm trying to give him some medicine but he doesn't take it...there's surgery but it costs a lot of money and i can't afford it on my own. Anyway, the doc said the surgery couldn't be effective @ 100%...if he doesn't take medicine, maybe it will have to be euthanasia
btw he is 2 years old...

Ask if they offer Care Credit. You can take out a loan and make monthly payments with 0% interest if it's paid back in a certain amount of time. If you can't pay it back in the allotted time, the fixed rate is 9.99%. Most of the vets in my area offer it, and the vet I used to work for offered it also. A lot of people go that route.
It's kind of like having a credit card. You are approved for a certain amount and once it's payed off that's it, but if something else comes up and you need more vet care, you always have that amount on your care credit card for you to use. You can even use it for yourself if God forbid you get sick and need to pay a large amount of money to your Dr. If your Dr. accepts Care Credit, you can use it for yourself too!

Default Sorry 'bout that!

I'm so sorry, but the first time I read the title of your post, I though that he was born without the ability to walk. Now that I've actually read it, I'm sorry, but I have no suggestions - ecept to go to the vet, but are you positively sure that the problem isn't too serious?!

hi again

actually i'm not from the USA, but from Portugal. I have no idea if there's any insurance for dogs, if there is, it may work the same way as the health insurance: you can only "use" it after being a member for 6 months.

to give him medicine i tried to smash it and mix with milk, i tried to put it down his throat but nothing.

he spent the night from thursday to friday "screaming" all the time, i was in my bed and the dog was making noise all the time.

my mom was "tired" of seeing it suffering so she decided to take it to the vet and performed euthanasia. I've had more dogs and other pets which died and I never felt such a sadness for the death of any pet...

I'm so sorry for your loss. But at such a young age I think your mom made a hard but best for the dog decision. He was suffering too much.
