I have a 8 1/2 week old female puppy, she had a bit of the runs a day after we got her home - figured it could be because she is getting use to the different puppy food. Her poops were good for 2 days and had her at the vets for check up and puppy needles - he said she was ok and even dewormed her he even said her temperature is normal. Well I have this feeling something is not right. She has the runs today and is now throwing up she even tries to eat it - eeeww, she is drinking water since being here and I keep the water in with her except after 6:00 pm then put it back in the morning. She seems to sleep a lot and only plays for a few minutes then sleeps again for an hour, she threw up again a short while ago and it was just liquid this time.I took her temp a hour ago and it was 38.5 c

I will be taking her to the vet on monday as soon as it opens but would any of you know what might be wrong with her and what I can do till she sees the vet ?????? please

I was thinking the same thing...Parvo. The only other thing that comes to mind is a reaction to her shots. If she got the rabies shot with the otheres I've seen a lot of dogs react to this.

I had a boxer pup 3 years ago she got to 12 weeks then fell ill with diorea and vomiting. I took her to the vets straight away with no messing around. The vet checked her over he said "i dont think its anything to worry about." He prescribed some meds and told me to feed her ckicken and rice for a few days. He did give me some tablets to help her get better. So with that i took her home put her to bed but when I came down the next morning it was to late she was already gone.

Iv had KoKo just over two weeks now but on new years eve she fell ill. Same simtons as the last pup. I took her to the emergency vet they checked her over and said she seemed ok. Her tempreture was fine and she seemed ok in herself. So i explained what had happened to my last pup and he said he would keep her in if i wanted,so without hessatation i said yes.they put her on a drip and monitered her over night. I was lucky this time and got her back the next day. She's had her meds and is doing much better now. Never wait for tomorrow when it comes to puppys it just isnt worth it.
