Unhappy I really need some advice and suggestions

HI, I am New to this board, I really need some advice and suggestions Please.

I have a 9 year old Toy poodle, Her name is Littlebit. She has not been feeling well and has Not been her self since Wednesday morning . I noticed on Wednesday she wanted to lay around and she was pacing the floors like she could not get comfty at all. Normally Littlebit is Happy go lucky and loves to play.

Well Thursday morning i decided to Take her to the Vet that we always go to, They checked her over, and felt of her and they said they did not feel anything that was abnormal, But her tummy was really tight feeling to me, So the Dr asked me if she was Constipated, I said well not that i am aware of, I said i did give her some Mineral oil 1/2 teaspoon the day before to be on safe side, b/c of the tighness she had in her belly., but she had yet pooped for me.

So the Dr wanted to do a internal recal exam, She did that and she said she was full, but she was NOT constipated and that the poop was normal.

She did have a small grade fever, Littlebit was 103.2 which normal is 102.5 i think they said.

Then she said she wanted to do a Fecal (sp) test to check for worms, so she did that test, and it came back FINE showed nothing at all wrong there.

Then the Dr gives me this pill and a 1/2 to bring home with me and give it to littlebit, and she said it is used to treat all kinds of worms and she wanted to do this even thou the test came back good, she wanted to be on the safe side and see if this would solve the problem littlebit was having.
She said it would probably make her Poop. well i get home and i give the pill to Littlebit and this was at 9:30am Thursday morning, well at 4:30pm that afternoon she had yet pooped for me and she was still acting like she was not feeling well.

So i called the Vet back and they told me to bring her back up there, so I did.
This time they took and injected some fluids under her skin on the lower back of her neck, they said maybe that would help her, They also gave her some pain meds, by injection b/c i told them I could tell she was Hurting. and uncomfortable .

So then the DR told me to call her Friday morning and let her know how she was doing.
well when i got back from the vet that thursday afternoon, Littlebit started acting fine for about 30 minutes, then she went right back to acting the same way.

So I called the Vet first thing Friday morning and sopke to the Dr and she said for me to take her back up there and they would draw some blood and see if it shows anything.

Well they took blood and kept her most of the day, All the blood results came back FINE, nothing what so ever showed up abnormal at all.

So Now they seem to think it is Arthritis that is making Littlebit act this way and be so uncomforable.
So they told me to Give her a Baby asprin a day for a few days and see how she does. I am on day 2 of doing this, tomorrow will be day 3.

Littlebit is still acting the same way. Here are the signs i have noticed:

1. She gets up and down so slolwy
2. Once in awhile she will eat, I feed her 3 times a day, and this morning at 5:15am is the only time i got her to anythng, she ate about 1/4 cup of her can food.
3. she is tender to the touch i have noticed, It is right around the lower back and down her legs and underneath those areas as well, and on the sides of the hip areas.
4. she does have the trembles at times
5. She does not want NO one messing with her or picking her up.
6. I have also nocticed that her back legs, she seems to be keeping the more together, than she has ever have. which is odd to me.
7. And lastnigth was strange, she went and got under my bed, she has NEVER done that.

She is peepeeing fine
She is pooping ( that is when she will eat anything)
She will look at you and walk over you're way, but does not want to be touched in the areas i mentioned above.
She is drinking water
She did bark today

Can this really be Arthritis? Can it make her act this way?

I have been letting her lay on a heating pad for about 20 minutes at a time to see if that would help her.

Any advice or suggestions? I would appreciate you're input on this. I am worried sick .

It sounds like arthirits. My neighbors Rotty has the same symptoms as your dog. Heating pad is good. Also, make sure that his bed is cushy. You can go to a pet store and they have some arthritis pills he can take Just check with your vet first! Put several water bowls around the house so that he won't have to walk so far. That is all I know!

Toy poodles are known to get intervertebral disk disease-compressed spinal cord--patent ductus arteriosis, so I would recommend x-rays for sure. your vet should have thought of all that, I'm rather surprised.
As they age some poodles also show signs of abnormal behavior, but I guess the first thing would be to rule out anything physical.

Tonight she went to her water bowl as if she wanted some water, but she acted kinda scared tio bend down to drink any, so i took and raised the bowl up and she went right to it, to drink her water, this was very odd for her to do this too. Just read this post and am wishing you good luck. It's so hard to see our buddies in pain. I have a large 11 year old dog that has HD and she is on Rimidyl. (I know it's somewhat controversial but when they hurt, you use what works). She's already had 2 knee surgeries and now has arthritis in both knees. At her age (the vet says she is doing remarkable well for her age, as she is considered a giant breed) I am not likely to put her through anymore surgeries. The Rimidyl has made all the difference in keeping her comfortable, mobile, and happy. Please let us know what the x-rays reveal. Hang in there.
