Well considering that there are lots of recalls lately on animal food and death of dogs and cats because of it then you should check the brand that she ate and call poison control center just to be sure!

no health hazard for a child, everyone has tasted a dry dog food at certain point.

No. i have 3 kids and they at some point have ate everything you can think of. dog food, cat food,,even my 2yr old ate cat litter when he was about 1. if she's acting ok i dont' think she'll get sick. you can call a regular doc. to see or a local pharmacy and see, but she should be ok, its mostly ground up parts of things(insides).

As a mother of four I can safely say that there is nothing to worry about. With my first I was so paranoid by my fourth I have had to relax. The best advise I got was that once they start crawling you have no control over germs and such so just make sure they can't touch poisons or anything they can choke on and everything else will be considered edible until they taste it.

so long as it wasn't one of the ones that has been recalled lately, there is no health risk. When we were at a family birthday party in February my son was playing with the dog, he was supposed to be giving their black lab a dog buscuit but everytime he called "doggie" Gabe would take a bite of the buscuit instead of giving it to Chase. When my sister and I were little, we always had neighbors with dogs, we would get a would get a couple buscuits for the neighbors dogs decorate them up for christmas and eat them before the dogs go tthem. Apparently my mom and her sisters as very young children would eat the black kibbles out of the food bowls for their dogs.
