Right I really have no clue about this but I am just going to assume its true because it can happen to us etc etc.

If dogs spend to much time in the sun can they get skin cancer? Does it less effect dogs with a thicker coat?

Can someone give some informationon this please as it woul dbe very usefull as my dog likes to sunbathe & I dont want her doing it to much if it is going to hurt her in the long run!

I hadn't given that much thought. We spend the entire year in the sun. My dog loves the beach with a few palm trees too. He's never complained of a sunburn. lol. I would imagine dogs could get skin cancer but not sure if it could definatly be related to the sun. Just my guess though.

Hmmm....I don't know, but it does seem realistic that a dog would get skin cancer.

Thats why I thought Id ask, as dogs can get cancer even if its any sort of general cancer cant they? ( well i thought so) so why not get specific types of cancer?

I've seens posts all over this board relating to things which relates the dogs to us.. so why not cancer? Not that I want it to be true lol.
