My Siberians are having trouble with the tips of their ears being bitten and bloodied by an invasion of flies. I'm in the San Fernando Valley in California and we've had this tremendous heat wave. One of the dogs has more problem than the other. Bella has bloody, raw tips and the flies land on her and just stay there. Any remedies out there? I've used Flys-Off ointment and fly sprays to deter the flies. The ointment is supposed to be healing, but a secondary problem is that they keep licking the stuff off. I'm worried about them ingesting the stuff. Please let me know what other remedies are out there, preferably more natural, as well, but more than that, something that works!
