Natural Diet?
I wasn't happy with how one of my Huskies was developing. She was too skinny compared to all the other Huskies and very finicky. I have been feeding Nurto Ultra and the dogs like it, but this one female just nibbles some now and then. I went to a book store and bought a recipe book for dogs. I never really cooked before because my kids never liked anything I would make. Now, the kids ask what the pups are getting for breakfast or dinner and always want some. For breakfast, everyone likes oatmeal with peanut butter and honey. This morning we had croissants with bacon. Yesterday, we had scrabled eggs with cheese and bacon. For lunch they usually get something quicker like tuna, hot dogs or bologna. For dinner I'll put something in the crock pot like hamburger, chicken, pork steaks, pork loin or whatever meat they have on sale. I'll also mix their meat with frozen or fresh veggies, except for corn. I also will add something like rice, potatoes, gravy or biscuits. I even made dog biscuits which I took to work and the people loved them. They were made with oatmeal, peanut butter, honey, flour and wheat germ. Anyway, within a couple of weeks, the female Husky is really starting to fill out. The other thing I noticed is when I went to clean the kennel and it looked like it belonged to minatures. The stools were so tiny, I couldn't believe it.
Do many people feed a natural diet?
Is this really cosidered a natural diet?
Are there any recipe suggestions?
Is anything I'm feeding bad for them?
My main question was, are tiny stools normal with this type of diet?
Thanks for your input
