Default Dry Skin

I habve a 2 year old short haired Border Collie that has chronic dry skin. This time of the year she can hardly even sit still. It appears to be mainly her back area ear area. We have taken her to the vet and they have perscribed hydroxyzine, which has no effect. We have tried benedryl with limited effect. We have to give her so much it pretty much knocks her out. The groomer has used every sort of conditioner and shampoo that they can think of. Does anybody have any other advice that I can try. I feel so sorry for the dog!

what exactly are you feeding her? food is the cause of many problems - ear infections, itching, doggie odor
