Hi
I have a 10 year old Cairn Terrier that has for the second time blood in her urine. It is just a drop or so. This is the second time I've brought her to the vet and she is now on antibiotics since yesterday. The vet did a sonogram and possibly sees stones in the bladder. But in going further in the sonogram and looking at the liver sees moddling. This may suggest cancer but we are waiting for the radiologist to call about the x-rays that were taken in addition. I believe the blood work shows a bacterial infection as well as some reduced liver function. I'm saying all this off the top of my head. I hope I'm saying the right things. The vet thinks we might want to go to a specialist. Its possible my girl may need a liver biopsy.
Has anyone had any experiance with this kind of problem in their dog?
I have lost 2 dogs in the last year and a half and I hope I'll be able to do something for my girl!
Thanks,
