Question How much should I feed?

I have a shelter baby. We found her there and fell in love. She is about 4 months (our rough estimate, but who knows) and she is, we think, Mastiff/Lab/Pitbull mix. However, I have noticed in the last week she is not eating as much as she used to, and actually prefers to eat at night, not in the morning (because I give her raw food at night I think).

So I was planning on cooking up some of the recipes I have found online, however, none of them tell me how much to feed at a time for a meal. She is 15 pounds and growing (of course). But like on the bag it is easy you feed so much for however much they weigh. What do I do if I cook it at home, like how much should I feed her in cups or oz or pounds or what have you?

Thanks for the tips.

I would suggest you to start monitor her daily diets.Normally puppy will stop eating when they are full. As you are feeding her with home recipe so there are no amount suggestion to feed her so try to monitor her weight and her feeding amount.

This period of time is crucial as it is a growing phase where nutritional feeding is very important for their future health and body development. But please do not over feed them. Three daily meals need to be fed to your puppies for the subsequent 10 months. Puppies growing stage will stop when they turn into one year old.

At 15 pounds you will see a weight gain or loss within a week.

Pay attention, and reduce or raise as needed!

All the best... Hannah
