I have had my sweet toy poodle for approximately 4 months. She is nearly 15 months old. I need to buy dog food. I have been feeding her Innova Puppy, but don't know when to change to adult. Any help is appreciated.

i would say that she is plenty old enough to start weaning her over to adult food... but make sure you do it gradually adding a small amount of adult food to her puppy food everyday and increasing that amount either everyday or every other day until she is up to just adult food... you do that so that their little tummies can get used to it slowly... i hope this helps..i don't know much about poodles but that's what i've always been told to do with my boxers..

I would not have thought of adding the adult dog food slowly. I am so glad I asked the question.

they often get diarrhea from changing foods if not done gradually. not pretty!
