I have a greyhound who will be 15 in July. She is fairly inactive and eats about 2 cups of dry food and 1 - 2 cans of wet food per day, but she doesn't gain any weight. She is very thin but otherwise very healthy. I am considering adding Ensure to her diet. Has anyone fed Ensure to his/her dog? If so, any undesirable side affects?

can't help you with the ensure question, & didn't find anything when I googled either except the ensure is gluten & lactoss free.

has she recently had a good check up including a full blood panel & fecal done?

if you are talking about the 16oz cans, that sounds like an awful lot of food to me.

what exactly are you feeding her now?
