Question Brachial Plexus Tumours

Hi,

My name is Cherie, and I have just joined this community upon finding out my dog has a brachial plexus tumour ((

I have been crying uncontrollably since his diagnosis, as he is 12 years old, and my best friend. He is a golden retriever, and his name is Tyson.

My reason for posting this forum; I want to know first hand experiences from owners whose dogs have been diagnosed with this rare tumour (or people who know people, anything!). I simply can't find info on the internet that isn't dog owner friendly, it all seems to be specific to people studying vet sciences etc.

My vet said the prognosis is around 4-6 weeks upon diagnosis, I want to know what to look for in regards to deterioration. When will I know that Euthanasia is a better option than him suffering?

Also, this diagnosed was formed through ruling out everything else. The vet said the tumour is so microscopic, it can't be detected on X-rays and CT's due to its tiny size ... but, is there a chance that diagnosis can be wrong?

I don't know what to do ... ((((

Please help.
