My old lab whines throughout the day and especially at night. She usually acts as if shes hungry. Is this a sign of something really wrong or is she just getting old? I need some help figuring this out. Anyone have any suggestions?
You should contact your vet and take her in to be seen. She may have arthritis that is paining her or she may have a medical issue that needs to be tended to. Has she recently lost a friend, or a member of the family. She could be missing them. But I would definitely bring her to the vet, to be sure. This is not a normal behavior unless the dog is in mourning for a lost loved one.
