Hello. My dog, Kita is 3 years old. She is the perfect Mutt. Anyways, lately she has been losing control of her bladder. The weird part is that this does not happen everyday, but, more often than not. She mostly loses control of her bladder when she is laying down. She has wet our bed almost everynight for the last week or so. I have also noticed that when we go for a walk she urinated multiple times during the walk? Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with Kita? I am starting to get worried and I am about to make a vet appointment. I just wanted to see if I could get any feed back.

Doin' it multiple times in a walk is normal, I should say.
Doin' it while she sleeps is not and might be due to psychological or medical reasons

like anubis said it could be psychological, she could be nervous/scared about something, its not old age obviously, she could have a bladder infection.

I would think bladder infection as well. Has she ever had puppies? That can weaken the bladder muscles.

Make that vet appointment. There are several possibilities; bladder infection, bladder stones, kidney disease, diabetes, or Cushing's disease to name a few.

If she's spayed, it's possible that it's hormonal in nature, or that there was some minor nerve/muscle damage done during the spay. Medication will almost always resolve these.
