Default Anybody heard about this?

I just discovered the other day my border collie has fleas. Until I get her in for her appointment with the veterinary I heard that I can make my own flea repellent for her. Its a lemon cut into quarters and put into boiling water and then steeped over night, then pour into a spray bottle and spray it around her ears, tail where ever the fleas like to hang out. Wondering if anyone has heard of that before or knows if it works???

I personally don't put much stock into it, but that's just me... My mother is an avid user of essential oils. The company she buys from claims that Lemongrass oil is good used as a natural mosquito/insect repellant-- they prefer it over the stuff containing DEET. I haven't actually tried it myself, so I couldn't tell you if it works. If you decide to try it, you're supposed to mix it one drop of Lemongrass oil to 1/2 teaspoon olive oil, as it can irritate the skin if applied "neat." Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Diluted apple cider vinegar works! I feed it to my horses and add it to their bug spray.

We have used Cloud-Nine Herbal Dip with some success. It has tea tree oil, rosemary, sage, cedarwood oil, peppermint, sweet orange, eucalyptus, citronella, pine needle oil.

Well, haven't heard of that. But I will definitely try that formula on my dogs. I used some shampoo and soaps for my dogs and I believe they don't like the smell that much. And so, some fleas are still around. I will let you know guys, what happened to the fleas and to my dogs after I tried the lemon formula. Thanks for sharing it with us.
