I need some advice. My 4 yr. old mini Schnauzer has recently displayed the following behaviors that have us baffled.
He refuses to go for his normal morning and afternoon walks. He licks his front paws and his little stub of a tail until he creates hot spots. And about every other night he stays awake all night. He acts like he has to go outside but when we open the door for him, he just looks out and won't go out.
I've taken him to the vet several times for this but they are out of options too. There are no funguses or infections but his on a antihystimine twice a day for what they assume is allergies, although it's not really helping.
I just can't figure out this refusing to go for his walks thing when usually he's dragging me down the street the whole way.
Anyone got any ideas what's going on here?
