Itchy dog
You should really have your dog checked out by a vet. What you describe can be any number of things but a vet would have to do skin scrapings to check for parasite and culture or biopsy to determine if it is a yeast or bacterial infection. Many skin issues require antibiotics and if severe enough, short term prednisone. Try to avoid the latter because it is a steroid and long term steroid use can cause iatrogenic cushing's, kidney and liver problems. If your dog has Seborrhea which can be caused by many things including allergies, then you might try using a very good shampoo called Duoxo. I've heard great reviews on it. Make sure you follow directions to the letter. Good luck.

go to the vet asap
Just like what the person said above me you need to get it looked at. However if you have a pit mix or pure pit it may be the inherited mange. I would guess a food allergy of some sort. but please get your dog help asap they are obviously suffering.
good luck

sounds like a food allergy to me as well. corn or wheat are the likely culprits, but it could be something in the soap you washed his bedding with. have you washed his bedding? dogs with short hair can also get poison ivy or oak, then let the itching turn into lick dermatitis. A vet visit is needed for sure.

the vet can do skin scrapings to check your pet's skin for any parasite and can diagnose what's happening to your pet.

MIRACLE product!
Some dogs just have irritated dry skin. It sounds like you need to see your vet or change his food but in the meantime try using products from Calm Coat. They have a great all natural product that worked wonders on our dog that constantly itched and chewed at his paws. Eventually we figured it was just environmental allergies but the itching stopped right away! It works to speed up hair growth too.
