I think it's a bit early to jump to second opinions from another vet. But a follow-up phone call, or a follow-up visit with the vet of record, is in order.
Medical issues often do not clear up overnight. By jumping from one vet to another, one interferes with continuity of care. The vet of record knows how the dog presented, and has the advantage of seeing how the problem responded, or didn't respond, to medication. Give the medications time to work. Get a follow-up appointment. If things don't improve in a reasonable amount of time, THEN get a second opinion.
