Default Please help

We just got our American Bulldog/ Blue heeler mix about 3 weeks ago. He never had shots or deworming when we got him. We noticed some worms and at time didn't know what they were so gave him an oral deworming. He went in a couple days later and they gave him his first round of shots but since we gave him a oral deworming they only gave him half and gave us the rest to give him in a few days. No worms for about a week until we found them again. Took him to a vet where he said it was tape worm and said we could use D-Worm for tape worm. We did that on tuesday. Since then he has had we well say soft served potty time until today, it looked like brown water shooting out his behind. ( sorry for being so graphic ) Called the vet but can't get an appointment for 3 weeks. ( We live in a rural area. I gave him some white rice, he still eats most of his food, and drinks and pees like a champ. Could it still be from all the stress of a new home and medications? Im extremely worried. Any suggestions what it could be good or bad would be appreciated. Im really worried about this little guy.

He does sleep a lot during the day, but what puppy doesn't. He does have a couple of play moments though. Please Help.

It could be that his body is still working out the medication and stuff. But white rice really isn't the best thing for him--too much starch, of the bad kind (white rice really isn't that great for people, either). If you want to give him rice, use brown rice instead. It's better for both dogs and humans. It has more fiber and nutrient value in it. The fiber might help to add substance to his stools, absorbing all that water. Do keep feeding him his "regular" dog food, and in time, his bowels should sort themselves out. Keep watching to make sure he is thriving; drinking and urinating. If you have a bathroom scale, you could weigh him to see that he is not losing weight. If he is too big to sit on the scale himself, weigh yourself first, then weigh again while holding him, and subtract the difference to get his weight. It's not the most accurate, but close enough.
