Exclamation Infected throat abcess

Hello,
I've been trying for the last several hours to find some way to treat my female German Shepard/Rottweiler mix puppy who has a badly infected abcess on the underside of her throat. So far I've been using peroxide and some anti-bacterial cream to try and treat it but it appears to be getting worse fast. It seems as if the skin is literally peeling away from her throat leaving a very large, bloody, pussy wound the size of my hand. Only two days ago it was a very small wound the size of a quarter and it has grown exponentially since then. I know she most likely needs some sort of antibiotic and I would normally have taken her straight to the vet once I noticed it, but I've just moved to a new area and I have heard nothing but discouraging things about the local vets. I also don't have the money for a vet visit and was hoping to find someway of purchasing an antibiotic without a prescription.

Please, if someone could help me I would be eternally grateful. I hate to see my dog in such pain and I'm afraid of what may happen if this gets any worse.

Your dog is sick and suffering, you need to take this dog to the vet NOW. This could be more than just an abscess! If you can't afford it, check not the CareCredit to finance what needs to be done for your dog.

Agreed! Your dog needs to see a vet NOW! There is no OTC product you can use to treat this, and you don't even know what's causing it. She could have a broken, abscessed tooth that needs to be extracted, for example.
