Default Please help

My puppy was diagnosed with Parvo last Monday. I immediatly hospitalized her and started her on treatment. She has started to improve, the vomiting and diahrea have begun to ease off, mostly to once or twice a day. She has become more alert and the emergency after hours clinic said that she had wagged her tail yesterday. She still hasn't tried to eat or drink and the vet is starting to cut back her iv fluids to encourage her to drink or eat something. The vet has told me that she is hopefully on her way to recovery and that she is doing better than before but she still hasn't eaten or drank anything. If anyone has dealt with this before and has some advice for me please help! I'm not sure what to believe that she's getting better or she's still in dangerous territory. Thank you.

Actually, wagging of the tail is a good sign. Parvo is so dangerous in puppies because it dehydrates and leaves the animal a wasteland (from not eating or getting nutrition). It's a virus that kill off cells and divides rapidly among them. This lack of nutrition leaves the animal weak beyond weak with NO energy. The IV fluids have helped tremendously and if the pup is wagging its tail, that means it's getting better. That's what i know from my experience. I vaccinate my animals but i've had a few too many encounters with people who don't vaccinate and end up here. If the dog overcomes, she probably won't ever have a need for the vaccination because she'll be immune. Have you tried searching anything? This link will help with all your questions.
