Default boxer has bumps , lumps , under skin

My boys name is FourSpeed , 6 yr old large breed boxer . Has anyone any ideas to help me resovle this problem ? he gets these bumps under his skin , about the size of a pea . sometimes they come to the surface and go away . two different times I've had them removed by surgery. Thats to much for me to deal with again . Lots of stress for him and myself , and costly . Any recomendations ?

I had a dog that my parents now care for. Hes an 11 y/o now and started getting these pea size like bumps right under the skin. I dont know if these are the same your talking about but they are cyst's. Was never harmfull to him however can be annoying when your petting him. We always had them removed by our vet, and they would pop them if they were pimple like, and used oitment over the open wound. Or if completely under the skin they performed "mini surgery," that would last no more than 10 minutes. My suggestion is as long as its not harming him and there isent a large amount of them to try and tolerate it. Where are they occuring most often? Like on the body?

Can I ask what you are feeding him? Heidi used to get those and they were caused by a food allergy to wheat. So now she is on a grain free food.

Boxers are one of the breeds that have skin issues please do as much research as possible in case your vet is not that up on it- be educated.

Thanks for your reply .
We feed him a raw meat diet from Sojo's . All natural grains and vegs . Plus raw hamburger meat . We do this because he has allergies to other dog foods . He has been on this for three years now . thanks
