Default Help with CECS???

Hi, this is my first thread! I joined cos i wanted to know if anyone out there has a dog with CECS, which is like epilepsy. I think my dog has it. Vets here couldn't help my Snoopy who is the best dog EVER. (Looks like Benji) He has all the symptoms that are on a special website for CECS in border terriers. Snoopy has fits every month or so. Used to be every 4 days then we had him fixed and changed his diet to royal canin hypoallergenic. Want to know if this will go away or anything else i can do. I live in EGYPT and vet care is very limited. Its awful when he has a fit, goes all stiff, I dont know how much pain , if any, he's in. Can anyone give me more info on this fairly newly diagnosed disease???

Hi! Welcome to forum. Don't know anything to tell you--Didn't know what the initials CECS stood for. I was going to look it up in my vet book--but wouldn't be in there anyway as book is 10 years old. I did put CECS/dogs in my browser and did bring up about it. I can give you the web address for 1 site (but more than likely you have already found it! But just in case:
Canine Epileptoid Cramping Syndrome THere are other web addresses given when I put words: CECS/dogs in browser too. I would check (call or email) a holistic vet---if they know of it--maybe they can tell you what to use or do to try and control the seizures. Hope you get the answers you need!
