Dog's Breed & Age: Pug 21 months
Brand of Food you feed: Ziwi Peak
Type of food: Air dried(Raw without the thaw) it's the best food on the market in my opinion. I use to feed raw, but, got tired of the freezing and unfreezing, and my wife did not like the smell. So we tried this and couldn't be happier, it has all the benefits of raw, without the problems associated with it.
How much you feed: 2 ounces in the morning, 2 ounces in the evening, which is equivalent to 2 of their scoops, it comes with it's own special measuring cup.
I rotate between Venison and Lamb.
Lamb:
Specification for ‘Daily-Dog' Cuisine
Lamb - ‘Daily-Dog' Cuisine 1kg/2.2lb - 5kg/11lb
A Natural Balanced ‘Real Meat' Diet - Made in New Zealand
INGREDIENTS: Lamb - Meat (min. 65%), Liver, Tripe, Heart and Kidney (min. 19.5%), Chicory Syrup, Green-lipped and Blue Mussel (min. 4%), Fish Oil, Lecithin, Kelp, Vitamins and Minerals, Parsley, Naturally preserved with mixed tocopherols, Additives: Vit. D3 592 IU/kg, Vit. E 7.4mg/kg, Copper (copper proteinate) 9.8mg/kg. Calories 1854 KJ/100g.
GUARANTEED ANALYSIS:
Protein (min.) 33% Ash (max.) 8%
Fat (min.) 27% Fibre (max.) 1.5%
Moisture (max.) 15% Calcium 2%
Phosphorus P 1.1%

I recently switched my dog's food to Wellness for Dogs (only the dry kibbles).
I am guilty of letting him free feed, but I keep saying I'm going to get him on a schedule one day. I give him 1 cup whenever he asks for food (by just laying down next to his empty bowl). He usually eats less than the 1 cup in a 24 hour period.
Griffin is a male dachshund mix - 13 pounds

Dog Food
We have four dogs and they all eat Science Diet dry dog food. The flavors change from time to time, but we stay with the small bites for the smaller dogs. Our dogs don't eat it all at once. They are good about grazing through out the day. All of our dogs are around four years of age. We have a minature schnauzer, a schnauzer/terrier mix, a long hair dachshund/poodle mix, and a chihuahua. Hope this helps.

New Balance
We have a 14 1/2 year old black Lab/ Australian Sheppard cross and a 9 month old Blue Heeler-mix. We switched from Science Diet to New Balance upon learning of some research our friends had done. Our friends have a 10 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback. We now have both dogs on New Balance dry food, 1 cup twice a day. Both dogs love it.

Is there any like special treat/food I could throw into my dogs regular food. I feed my dog dry dog food...Is there a way like i could put like beens or tomatos or rice into there food bowl like every other day? Or would that be bad?

If you are feeding a good quality food you do not need to add anything. Adding other items to a dogs food can make your dog a fussy eater and cause a lot of problems. Just stick with the dry food with some water added to it.

I thought you shouldn't add water to their dry foods, don't they need the crunch for their teeth?

Dog's Breed & Age - All breeds in signature, ages range from 9 weeks to 14 years
Type of food (dry, wet, frozen, etc.) - Whole prey, raw and RMB. Whole rabbit, beef heart, beef shin, lamb neck, rack of pig ribs (without meat), whole rats, whole phesant, whole quail, rack of deer ribs, deer legs, deer hocks, venison and whole chickens frequent the menu, it usually depends on when we go hunting, what we catch hunting etc
How much you feed - Varies on the meat used. 1-8% of the dogs body weight, chihuahuas are fed light, eating 2-4 ounces of meat per day and about an ounce of bone then organs in whole prey but the Border Terriers eat a mad amount, about 6% of their body weight a day. They get all of their food up front either after a walk or whilst hunting, if they dont eat it all its left with them and either another dog will or they will eat the rest later in the day.

There is alot you can add to the food bowl. Raw meats such as lamb, pork ribs, deer, cornish game hen (1 whole hen for under $10 in walmart), rabbit, chicken, etc. You can also give fresh chicken backs and beef shin bones that are free from the butchers as they have to pay to have them taken away anyway.

Actually, thats not fact. Giving a dog a good variety can stop them from becoming picky, and as you can see from my above post, my dogs have a wide variety of foods, I have never had a picky eater.

There isnt much "crunch in the kibble" anyway. Instead it crumbles and causes plaque on the teeth and so it will do the opposite to what alot of ads for dog foods suggest, best thing for cleaning teeth and strengthning the jaw is raw bones like chicken backs, turkey, poultry necks etc. No raw bones or rawhide chews!!
