I would stay away from Diamond pet foods. Over the years there have been a few cases of dogs who died after eating the food... it seems they are not very careful of where they get ingredients and how they package the food.
Diamond ranks only 1 out of 5 stars. A few great foods are Blue Buffalo, Timberwolf Organics, Solid Gold and Nature's Variety. Hope this helps you!

Default Stay away from puppy food!

I would stay away from PUPPY food all together for a newfoundland!! the only puppy food i would ever give my newfie is Eagle Pack. Large breed dogs cannot take the large amounts of protein most puppy foods have. Large breed dogs needs to grow at a slow and steady rate- look for foods that have around 23% protein and 12% fat. Most Newfoundland owners feed their dogs Adult foods. I have a 14 week old too! Just curious, how much does your pup weigh? My girl is on Canidae and loves it. I also boil potatoes, carrotts, brocolli and brown rice and mix it in with her food Can you tell she's spoiled!
