Hello! I have an eight-nine week old German Shepherd puppy AND a house rabbit. My rabbit has her own room to run around in, she's happiest when she has space. But her room also happens to lead to the backyard. Whenever I bring my German Shepherd (Diedrick) through the room to go outside, he usually likes stopping to play with the bunny, which usually leads to him eating her rabbit food and alfalfa hay. I usually usher him off, but he's a quick little bugger and I don't always manage to get him in the other room before he woofs something down (I even found him chewing on a bunny dropping once).

Does anyone know if these things would be harmful to him? I really don't want him eating them either way, but if I have to change her room to keep him from these things I want to do it now before he's too big to carry to and fro!

Keep in mind German Shepherd digestion problems (which is one of my main worries).

I'd bring the bunny into another room so your German shepard can't get at the hay or bunny pellets that way they could play, seems your pet is gonna keep eating the hay, give your vet a call and see what they say regarding the hay and bunny poo
