Default yelps

i have a jack russel cross yorkshire terrier..a normally very hardy dog but for the last 2 days she yelps when her back is touched just above her right hip..she is 4 years old and normally very playfull...ill give it a couple of days and if she doesnt show signs of improvement i may have to take her to the vets,,i know this would be a norm but i lack confidence in my local vets they failed to spot a small bone trapped between her back teeth a while back which was cutting into her tounge i told them she had problems with her mouth and they gave me some anti inflamatories...if anyone has any suggestions im all ears...thanks

From what you wrote it sound's like she is'nt her normal playful self.. I would get her to a vet, she need's to be seen. Please go out of your local area to find one that is good. Also, Please keep in mind that putting it off for a couple of day's is not like putting it off a couple of day's for us, they age much faster than us and those couple of day's are more like week's in term's of their little bodies.

Please let us know how she is doing.

Usually they don't yelp when you touch an area, if you dog is yelping he/she needs to go to the vet asap, we just never can tell what the problem is, could be the kidneys, a foreign object swallowed, someone may have hit your pet.

I'd go to another vet also, if you are uncomfortable at your current vet go to another, make sure you get all your dogs health records from the old vet, they are yours, you paid for them.

I hope you doggie is ok

Don't put off getting help because you don't like the vet, Your dog's health is more important. Go to another vet instead, one who listens to you!
