My mini schnauzer woke up with a round sore on his head. It was crustred over and turned hard then domed up and turned bright red. I took him to vet and he cleaned it up and gave him 2 shots. It is still hard kind of like a scab. I cant imagine how it came on his head. It is too round to be an injury like if he ran into something. Am taking him to another vet to get second opinion. His personality has changed and he is very quiet and sits and stares. I hope it is not cancer.

Do you have another dog? Kinda sounds like a bite wound or similar. Good luck at the second vets, its hard top make a guess at what it could be without seeing it or a more detailed description. What size is it? Is it sore to touch?
