Fecal incontinence
We have a 14 yr old yellow lab, Bailey, who is often unable to let us know that she needs to go out and leaves us "presents" in the house near or on her bed. She has arthritis and some hip dysplasia, and the vet thinks that there is probably some nerve damage that is making it impossible for her to know that she needs to go out. We have her on a low residue diet which she gets twice a day in smaller amounts. Hoping that someone has some ideas for us. As her "mommy", I know she can't help it and therefore don't mind the clean up. (Quite easy on hardwood floors) But when we have to be gone and leave her with friends, I'm sure they're not thrilled about the extra "duty". Otherwise, she is doing fine. Still loves her walks, tries to chase a squirrel or two, and greets us warmly. Thanks for any help or ideas!
