I noticed the last few days my on Malinois was flicking the top portion on his right ear. There is no infection in his ears, plus I cleaned them up. He always had a problem where the tips of his ears would crust, split and bleed. The vet tested for scabies...he didnt have it. He wanted to test for vasculitis but I dont have $500 for the test plus he seemed like he wasnt too concerned. Gave me anitbiotics and sent me home.

I noticed upon further inspection that his right ear tip is crusty and the hair is falling off...just the tip..nowhere else. I dont have the money right now since paying off some over due bills ops:to take him to the vet when all he will do is rake an exam fee out of me and try to do another skin scrape.

Is there anything I can put on his ear tip to help sooth it and heal it? Before it splits?. He isnt really trying to scratch it. But this would be the third time and it is only mostly the right ear..left ear is fine.
