My new puppy has fleas. Was it a mistake to bring him inside the hosue? what should i do?

Take him to the vet for a flea bath. Put him on a preventative such as Revolution if he's old enough. Make sure you get the spray to do your house. Fleas can hide almost anywhere and, if you don't spray the house, the fleas will just jump right back on your newly de-flead pup.

No! It's never a mistake to bring your dog in the house. A pet should be part of the family. Not something that sits outside and gets fed twice a day.

I will definitely do that. I gave him a bath with some flea preventative. He's inside. I washed all his blankets after the bath.

Some friends came over, should I have them do anything? one of them has a dog, they are worried about fleas in their place. What shoudl I tell them?
