Barb's dog has a heart problem so here is a thread all about this stuff and how to prevent/treat these conditions...

Dilated Cardiomyopathy (Heart Disease)

Update on my Corky

My number one recomendation is a healthy diet, fish oil supplementation, and plenty of cardiovascular exercise to prevent heart problems. What are you feeding the dog? Now that your dog must have one, it would depend of the specific diagnosis your dogs has to determine the best approach for treatment.

What specific heart condition does the dog have? What current med is it on?

Default Hearty Heart

My brother's dog was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and the meds that his vet gave him were seriously taking a toll because of their harmful side effects. He started CJ on Hearty Heart and his vitality picked back up almost immediately! Almost as if he were a pup again...he's 5 years old now and still going strong.

I'd recommend it anyone, especially since it is holistic and made from herbs and is safe for long term use as well.

Glad to hear this. I always prefer herbal/natural remedies over conventional meds for these same reasons if possible...
