Default My dog seems really sick..

I took her for a run two days ago, we were gone for ~20 minutes and she pooped 4 times (big ones too.) Yesterday and today she has had bloody diarrhea and then a couple inches away from that there is always a big pool of blood. Today she threw up and it was very green. Her tail is down but she is eating, drinking and acting normal (runs around and plays all day). It's too late to take her to the vet today but I am very worried about her and wondering what the cause of this may be and what I can do right now to help her?

here are a couple links to help you with this situation but anytime a dog has bloody diarrhea as you describe, a vet visit is in order. Good luck.

Exclamation Please See A Vet Now-Don't Wait!!!!

I think you need to see a vet NOW! And I hope you have been making sure she doesn't get dehydrated---This can happen fast with all the vomiting and diarrhea. I think you have waited too long already--The longer you wait the more critical this may become! How is she doing right now!? Could be a lot of things but needs to be addressed by a vet. A lot of things if not taken care of right a way can cause permanent damage to your dog--pancreatitis being one!!!---and that can also lead to diabetes! It is a long time to wait until sometime Monday to see a vet!!!---especially since this is already day 3 of this problem!!!

I agree. It could be many, many things. Is the stool red or a dark black/tar color? If it's red that generally means it is a cut somewhere along the lining of the rectum or anus but if its tarry that would indicate internal bleeding. Eith way I would go to a vet right away. As Barb suggested dehydration can be vatal very quickly ecpecially with puppies. Don't let the playfulness fool you...

Is it possible that she is on heat and the diarrhea is just a separate diet diet deficiency?
