Default Compounding Prescription Medications

Giving a link here to a newsletter I get. I thought this article was interesting--although not sure I would do it as prob. more expensive this way but---thought others would find it interesting and maybe an idea to use. Is this the only place that offers this?

There are many veterinary compounding pharmacies throughout the U.S. I have tiny dogs with chronic conditions and their meds have to be compounded. Compounding is usually much cheaper; however, if there is a drug that has been approved by the FDA for veterinary use, compounding pharmacies can only compound doses that are not available from the manufacturer of the approved drug.
