Default Multi Vitamin /Probiotic brand recommendations?

I am considering giving my 3 dogs a multi vitamin and probiotic. They already get omega 3 daily. Looking for feedback on pro/cons of giving a multi vitamin and probiotic. Thanks!

These may be of some help: Vitamins Vitamins and Supplements I know that you should especially give probiotics when your dog is on antibiotics ---Helps put the good bacteria back in the gut that the antibiotic destroys! Here is a link to a post I did on probiotics a while back: About Yogurt Here is a link about Omega 3 oil: About Fish Oil! Will be right back. Checking the search box in here (top of page(s) for any threads Here is another good link on vitamins!--> Vitamins

Don't know if you caught all the info I added to my 1st post above. Have another link for you that you might find interesting on the many good things about vinegar: What About Vinegar!!

Also wanted to tell you about adding vitamin E if you are using fish oil as the fish oil can deplete vitamin E. Note: I wouldn't give both at same time either as they would be'fighting each other' so to speak. You would have to decide how much vitamin e to give. Depends on how much fish oil you give and weight of the dog too. I give my (overweight) cocker (42#) sometimes 200 ICU and sometimes 400 ICU (I use human form and this kind--E-complex containing mixed tocopherols (4 total). I also give 2 different potencies of fish oil--1200mg and 1000mg. I order thru Puritan's Pride (many years) for these supplements. Order 24/7---1-800-645-1030----www.Puritan.com I always order by phone. Right now they have Buy one, Get 2 free (total of 3 for price of 1)--expires 9/30/10. I get catalogs but you can check thinks out on their site. Product #'s: #450-Vitamin E-200 IU for 100 sofgels (3 for price of 1 =300 sofgels); #460-400 IU vit. e: #17132 for Double Strength Omega-3 Fish Oil (600 mg EPA/DHA) --180 rapid release sofgels=540 total or you can get a smaller size (half that amount-#17131) This is also purified to eliminate mercury. ---- # 5516 for MaxEPA Omega -3 Fish Oil 1000 mg-100 sofgels (total of 300) Hope all the 'stuff' I posted helps. Got to get my butt in gear and go out to garden and pick beans. Getting hotter and more humid by the minute!

Note I am just telling you what I give for potencies--others may disagree and of course the potency you use could vary at different times and different conditions of your dog!

Lol, I am coming across info to post by accident when looking for something else--like crazy. Here is an interesting link: http://ezinearticles.com/?Why-Omega-...ant&id=3687795
