Default Small lump on pug's eyeball?!

Okay, I don't know how I missed this, but my pug has two small bumps on her eye. They don't bother her, it just looks like a raised part of what I think is her cornea. She doesn't itch it, and it doesn't look inflamed and isn't accompanied with any odd discharge. I have heard that pugs are prone to eye problems, we just got her Thursday, my brother said that she's had them since then because he noticed them. Help please!

There's not much that can be done for eyeball issues. If it's simple inflammation, it should go away on its own. If it's simple irratic growth (which has my vote) then that's just the way it grew and will stay that way and be perfectly natural and functional. In most cases, when an eyeball gets injured the vet will simply remove the eye unless it's a VERY simple and benign injury. I think it would be best to let it be and watch it closely. If it gets worse, then it's not a natural growth like I think and he should be checked by a vet.

Also, when in doubt, a vet check is always good.

As one who has raised dogs for many years and dealt with eye injuries the first thing you learn is time is of the essence with regards to getting the dog to a vet. What can appear to be minor can stay that way if afforded prompt vet attention when if not, can become irreversible. I would take the dog to the vet asap. If nothing else to rule out any real issues. Good Luck.

I took my dog to the vet today for an anal gland issue and the doctor checked out her eyes. He prescribed some steroid ointment to see if it cold diminish the size of the lumps.
