Default Skin conditions - redness, itching, licking

I have had a beagle for the past 2 years and we just got our Chihuahua a month and a half ago.. Every since we have had Cappy (the beagle) he has had this bald red patch on his chest.. It never seemed to bother him (never itched or licked it) but some days it would be really red and irritated looking and other days it would just look like a bald spot. We went through the whole testing with the vet and they coudl not figure it out and said it might just be rug burn,,

Fast forward ahead a few years plus a new dog and now Cappy seems to be having a few more red patches that look VERY similar appear (but they are much smaller) and these seem to really bother him. He has one patch on his front leg (the forearm type area) and it seems another one is cropping up near his crotch..

I have also noticed the chihuahua all of a sudden itching more now (although i havent seen any red spots)

We definitely do NOT have fleas.. I checked with a comb and they all get frontline so that is out of the question..

SO what are some things that can cause this?? Its really odd that its both dogs.. but they tested cappy for the typical really contagious skin issues like Mange already.. its not that.

Can you post some pics? I'm sure the vet would've caught whatever I could think of, but we may be able to throw out some ideas at you if you had some pictures to show us. My Dachshund had ring worm once and now I can spot it a mile away and some vets have to break out the text book to check. Maybe some of the others have had similar experiences and know about other skin conditions.

I seen something like this happen before and it was from seperation anexity, are you spending the same amount of time with your dog or did things change?

There's something call trameel you can give you dog to help with the rashes and red bumps.
